{"id":81,"date":"2008-02-10T11:04:53","date_gmt":"2008-02-10T16:04:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bikeforest.com\/?p=81"},"modified":"2008-03-01T13:21:50","modified_gmt":"2008-03-01T18:21:50","slug":"nahbs-2008-finale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bikeforest.com\/?p=81","title":{"rendered":"NAHBS 2008 finale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/sam_2008_nahbs_best_of_show.jpg\" alt=\"Sam Whittingham\" title=\"Sam Whittingham\" class=\"blackborder\" \/><\/p>\n<p>No one was surprised when the President&#8217;s Award, the People&#8217;s Choice Award and the Best of Show Award all went to Sam Whittingham of <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nakedbicycles.com\/\" title=\"Naked Bikes\">Naked Bicycles and Design<\/a>. \u00a0Sam&#8217;s fixed gear bicycle was the talk of the show. It features old fashioned elements like beechwood rims and grips, polished lugs and a sculpted handlebar. The bike also has modern elements such as state of the art hubs and a front disk brake with cool internal cable routing. Another neat touch was the hole through the top tube for securing the bike with a U-lock.<\/p>\n<p>Since there were no awards that BikeCAD could have fit into, I had to take satisfaction in seeing owners of BikeCAD Pro winning awards.
