{"id":104,"date":"2009-02-10T09:09:33","date_gmt":"2009-02-10T14:09:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bikeforest.com\/?p=104"},"modified":"2009-02-10T09:11:02","modified_gmt":"2009-02-10T14:11:02","slug":"104","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bikeforest.com\/?p=104","title":{"rendered":"Loose Screws"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"blackborder\" src=\"\/Feb2009couchbike_video_shoot.jpg\" alt=\"Couchbike video shoot\" width=\"596\" height=\"349\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When a production company from Los Angeles called last week about doing a video shoot involving the Couchbike, I told them it sounded great.\u00a0\u00a0But as I looked out the window at the blanket of snow covering everything in sight, I wondered how amenable they might be to doing all this a little later on, say in May. No luck there, so we scheduled it for this week and hoped for the best.<\/p>\n<p>This has been an incredibly snowy winter. In the month of January, the temperature in Kitchener-Waterloo only\u00a0went\u00a0above\u00a00\u00b0C for a total of three hours.\u00a0\u00a0That&#8217;s meant that whatever snow has fallen has generally stuck around. However, it finally did warm up this weekend. It also rained a lot. So by yesterday morning the roads were clear and ready for couchbiking.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"blackborder\" src=\"\/Feb9Hulabiking.jpg\" alt=\"Hulabiking\" width=\"596\" height=\"171\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Mike and Dave were sent over from Toronto to record the sound and video. Natalie and I rode the couchbike around. We also did some hulabiking\u00a0and I spent some time in the garage tweaking wheels which may or may not have needed truing in the first place. Overall, a fun day. Watch for the footage in an upcoming show with the working title &#8220;Loose Screws&#8221;.
